The Single Onion concludes the 2015 Lecture Series with Part III: The Future of Poetry in Calgary. This event will feature a lecture by Dave Eso, followed by readings by Vydia Kassie, Larissa Lai, Sasha Semenoff, and Matt Smith.
About the Event:
The last two instalments of the Single Onion lecture series demonstrated the phenomenal growth and stature of poetry in Calgary. This final instalment urges the future of Calgary poetry by presenting recent work by promising students, respected teachers, and hopeful misfits who will forecast and fantasize directions for our community. How can poetry reach a wider audience? How will digital technologies change the shape of poetry in the 21st century? What issues will torment and inspire the next generation of poets?
